Curriculum vitae – Biography of Dr. med. Hadamitzky
In 2003 I started my surgical training in the Department of General and Vascular Surgery in the Porz-am-Rhein Hospital (Prof. Dr. med. S. Horsch) in Cologne. Here I discovered my passion for lymphatic system conditions and the complex treatment of oedema from a vascular surgical perspective. I successfully completed my doctoral thesis at the University of Cologne (Clinic for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Prof. Dr. Dr. J. E. Zöller).
I started my microsurgical training in 2006 in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Hannover Medical School (Prof. Dr. J. K. Kraus). Afterwards I switched to the Institute for Functional and Applied Anatomy at the Hannover Medical School (Prof. Dr. Dr. R. Pabst) to research surgical options for treating oedema. During this period, I laid the foundation stone of my scientific activity, which became the main topic of my habilitation thesis.
In 2009 I started my clinical-surgical work in the Department of Plastic, Aesthetic, Hand and Reconstructive Surgery (Prof. Dr. P. M. Vogt) and passed my specialist examination in 2013.
In 2015 I switched to the Department of Plastic, Aesthetic and Hand Surgery at the Helios Clinic Hildesheim (Prof. Dr. B. Rieck) as a senior consultant. After three years, I opened my private practice with a focus on lympho-vascular diseases and oedema at Bahnhofstrasse 12 in Hanover as a joint practice with Dr. med. J. Brodersen.
